Who is responsible for the data

Mintera is an information service about psychotherapy and mental health in Finland. The site operator is responsible for the personal data described here. For privacy matters, contact [email protected].

What data we collect

The site collects data in three ways.

  • Contact form: the name, email address and message you type into the form.
  • Visitor analytics: site use is measured with the cookieless visitor analytics service. It records, among other things, the address of the page opened, the time, the referring site and screen width, and data on how much you browse. The script sets no cookies.
  • Server logs: the server routinely records the IP address, the requested page, the time and the browser identifier. To prevent misuse of the form, the IP address is also used for a short-term limit on the number of messages.

Cookies and the feedback tool

Mintera does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The page has a feedback button loaded from a messaging service. If you send feedback through it, the text and any email address you give are stored in the same messaging system as contact form messages.

Purposes and legal basis

We use contact details only to reply to your message. The basis is your consent when you send the message. Visitor statistics and logs are used to keep the site working and secure and to improve the content. The basis is legitimate interest. Data is not sold or used for marketing or profiling.

Retention

Contact messages, server logs and visitor analytics data are kept for a limited time, at most as long as the purpose of the processing requires.

Third parties

The service providers that process data are a server service located in the EU, a CDN and security service, a cookieless visitor analytics service and a messaging service (relaying contact and feedback messages). Data is not disclosed to others unless the law requires it. If a provider processes data outside the EU, transfers rely on the Commission standard clauses or another basis permitted by the GDPR.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to:

  • find out what data is held about you and request a copy
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • request restriction of processing and object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • withdraw consent at any time
  • lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi)

How to use your rights

Send your request to [email protected]. We reply within one month. Visitor analytics does not identify individual visitors, so its data usually cannot be linked to you.

Changes

We update this policy when the way the site handles data changes. The date at the top shows the latest change.
