Application process step by step
1. Visit a doctor
Contact a health center, occupational health, or private doctor. Describe your symptoms openly.
2. Getting a diagnosis and treatment relationship
The doctor evaluates your situation and sets a diagnosis. At least 3 months of treatment is required for a B-statement.
3. Obtaining the B-statement
Request a B-statement from a psychiatrist or specialist. The statement includes diagnosis, treatment plan, and assessment of therapy need.
4. Submitting the application to Kela
Fill out the Kela rehabilitation psychotherapy application and attach the B-statement. Kela processes the application in 2–4 weeks.
5. Finding a therapist
After receiving the decision, find a Kela-approved therapist. You can start searching before the decision.
